Jamison Services, one of Southern California’s largest private office landlords, is continuing its expansion into multifamily residential development by converting two of its landmark Koreatown properties into apartments. 3350 Wilshire Boulevard At 3350 Wilshire Boulevard, the company is currently gutting the interior of a mid-century office tower that once served as the West Coast headquarters of Texaco.  The 12-story building, which flanks the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools, is receiving a full interior and exterior overhaul designed by Corbel Architects.  In addition to remodeling the tower, the project will also construct four new floors atop an adjoining parking garage on Catalina Street. When completed, the development will create a mixture of 216 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom loft-style apartments with high-quality finishes and fixtures.  Plans also call for ground-level retail and restaurant space, as well as amenities such as a a gym, a karaoke room, a basketball court and a rooftop amenity deck. The residential conversion is currently on pace to occur in December 2017. 3350 Wilshire, built in 1957, was originally designed by the prominent Los Angeles-based architecture firm Welton Becket & Associates.

3345 Wilshire Boulevard Almost directly across the street, Jamison recently commenced work on the adaptive reuse of a similar 12-story office building at 3345 Wilshire Boulevard. According to a case filing from the Los Angeles Department of City Planning, the mid-rise tower will soon contain 202 apartments, ground-level commercial space and amenities such as a rooftop deck.  The project, also designed by Corbel Architects, will equip the late 1960s building with custom exterior lighting and high-end interior finishes. Completion of 3345 Wilshire is expected in Summer 2017.
