One year after breaking ground in Playa Vista, construction continues for the Fountainview at Gonda Westside, a $100-million senior housing development from the Los Angeles Jewish Home. The six-story complex, designed by global architecture firm Gensler, will feature 175 independent living apartments and 24 assisted living and memory care units. Additionally, plans call for a range of amenities which includes a fitness center, a library, a screening room and a rooftop pool and spa deck. Independent living apartments will come in one- and two-bedroom floor plans, some containing a den or a media room. Each unit offers full-size stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and full-size washer and dryer units. According to an official website, the Fountainview at Gonda Website is now fully now 100% reserved, but still offers space on a waiting list for a $5,000 deposit. Completion is scheduled to occur in 2016. The project is located in close proximity to Runway, the $260-million mixed-use complex which serves as the master planned Playa Vista community’s commercial core.
