Rockwood Capital, a New York-based real estate investment firm, has broken ground on a major expansion of an office campus in Playa Vista. Playa Jefferson, a 200,000-square-foot compex at 12777 W. Jefferson Boulevard, already boasts tenants such as Facebook and Omnicom Group, Inc. The addition of a new building on the easts side of the campus will allow Rockwood to add to that roaster. The three-story Building E, designed by Gensler, will offer approximately 55,000 square feet of leasable space with open floor plans, high windows and outdoor decks. An official website lists the project’s completion date as Fall 2017. Other ground-up office developments in Playa Vista include the Brickyard, an approximately 400,000-square-foot campus from Tishman Speyer.
