In Hollywood, work is well underway on a new hotel near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Vine Street. The low-rise development, which architectural plans refer to as the Vine Inn & Suites, will consist of a six-story structure containing 112 guest rooms and a small street-fronting cafe.  Plans also call for a ground-level swimming pool and 63 parking spaces in a partially subterranean garage. Renderings from local architecture firm Gene Fong Associates portray the finished product as a modern building clad with materials including stone, perforated metal panels and plaster. The project, which is rising from the former site of Hollywood’s Vagabond Inn, is being developed by Holvine Investments, Inc.
