One block east of Jamboree Road, a multifamily residential complex is rising in the Irvine Business Complex. The 360 Fusion Apartment Homes, a project by developer 360 Residential, is rising from a 3.5-acre site at the corner of McGaw and Murphy Avenues. According to plans filed with the City of Irvine, the development entails a five-story building featuring 280 apartments - including 29 units reserved as affordable housing. The low-rise structure will wrap a six-story garage, which will provide parking accommodations for up to 424 vehicles. Plans call for a number of residential amenities, highlighted by a 14,000-square-foot roof deck atop the project’s parking garage. Other elements would include a swimming pool, a fitness center and multiple private courtyards. Designs from Torrance-based Withee Malcolm Architects include a variety of layers and setbacks, reminiscent of screening devices seen in Asian architecture. Renderings portray the low-rise complex with a color palette of soft greens and greys with wood and metal accents. Completion is expected sometime during 2016. The project abuts the Residences on Jamboree, a similar complex from Colorado-based deveoper UDR, Inc.
