Jamison Services Inc., one of the Southern California’s largest office landlords, has broken ground on a mixed-use development on the southern edge of Koreatown. The residential-retail complex, now rising from a 1.5-acre site at 3060 W. Olympic Boulevard, will consist of a a seven-story building feature 226 one- and two-bedroom apartments. Plans also call for a swimming pool, a fitness center, two rooftop decks and over 16,000 square feet of ground-level commercial space. The project received a density bonus incentives in exchange for reserving 19 of its residential units for very-low income tenants. Renderings from the Irvine-based KTGY Group portray 3060 Olympic as a contemporary low-rise structure, similar to other new residential developments in Koreatown. City records indicate that the building will be clad with exterior materials including plaster, brushed concrete and masonry veneer. According to a representative of Jamison Services, crews from Wilshire Construction, L.P. are scheduled to build 3060 Olympic over an approximately 20-month period, placing the project’s completion date in late 2017.
